Another World hits the Play Store as Promised

Back in January we were very pleased to learn that DotEmu was bringing us all Another World, better known as Out of this World. January was a long time ago and a lot has happened since then. We nearly forgot to check up on the progress of the game. To my surprise, the game was actually released to the Play Store this last Saturday. Since I do unplug from the Android world to spend time with the family, I missed it.

InÂ celebrationÂ of the games 20th anniversary, DotEmu took the time and put forth the effort to bring the cult classic in HD format to Android. Bringing with it all theÂ wonderfulnessÂ of theÂ originalÂ with enhancements for our devices. You can toggle between standard and HDÂ graphicÂ mode to make it more compatible and run smoother on various devices. The game relies on classic D-pad controls to bring you back to old school gaming, but it also has a new touch screen control system to offer the new generation a new way to play the game. For those of you sporting an Xperia Play, you will be happy to know that this title was optimized for you as well. DotEmu remastered all the sound and sound effects to really bring the game to life on our devices. Check out the short trailer fo the official HD release below –

It might not be the high-end Tegra 3 real world quality graphics that many people desire so highly, but it was pretty amazing back in the day. The remastered sound and beefed up graphics make this a must have for the old school gamer that loves to revisit their past on the go.
