AOL Chooses Android Over The “Other Guys”

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Android is constantly gaining strength activating over 160,000 devices each day. Today, AOL has launched two applications for the Android platform, one being DailyFinance and the other, AOL Portal. While the DailyFinance application is available on the iOS platform, AOL Portal is the first application launched by AOL specifically to the Android platform.

“Momentum is the key reason,” VP of Mobile for AOL, David Telkim, said in regards to why AOL chose the Android platform over iOS. With the Android Market rapidly growing, could we begin to see a trend of Android applications coming first with the rest following suit?
