This post is definitely for my die hard WIDGETHEADS out there. It has been a little while since I have introduced a new widget to my homescreens, and it seemed like there was not going to be one that measured up. I even went is far as cleaning up the clutter of widgets I had when I got my HTC One S. It was hard but I did it, and my main home screen only had toggles and the weather on it. But now I have a brand new widget smack dab in the middle of the screen, and I must say, it is a beautiful thing.
Blingboard brings your social media to one little widget that is not an eye-sore. You get the posts from the big boy social media outlets, Twitter and Facebook, and you get to see your text messages, missed calls, and Gmail.  Set up is super easy. All it requires is for you to log into your Gmail, Twitter, and Facebook, followed by your choice of refresh intervals. Text messages and missed calls will show up automatically, and clicking on the missed call name will automatically call that person back, which I thought was pretty nice. Clicking the text message will bring you to a new composed message window which I did not really like since it did not bring me to the message thread. Could be just my phone though. There is refresh buttons and a little sweep button to delete read messages or posts from the widget windows. When all posts and messages are cleared out, the date and time shows up with a nice glow behind it that complements the widget when there is nothing to look at.
When it comes to your Facebook and Twitter posts, it will show 20 posts at a time, and has left and right arrows for you to go through them. I would personally love it if they could make the widget scrollable. That would most definitely add perfection to it. Hopefully with some updates in the future they will be able to add that feature to make my widget dreams come true.
As I said above, this widget is not an eye-sore. You get to choose either a classic, transparent, black, or blue theme, and all of them look great. I also love how the widget does not stretch all the way to the edges of the screen making it more centralized. You also cannot resize the widget, but it is a good size and does not really need to be changed.
So for my fellow WIDGETHEADS, I would suggest you guys download this widget. Give it a try at least. It is free in the Play Store so you really got nothing to lose. Let us know how you like it.
