[App] Free movies; Grab a dose of the old school classics for Free

We all are aware of the subscription based movie apps like Netflix and Hulu Plus. Many of you might also have HBO Go and check out Crackle every so often. There are other options out there that give you access to some great flicks without the need for a monthly subscription or cable add-on package. One such app, if you can call it that, is literally called ‘Free Movies’

It isn’t so much an app as it is a portal to a website that houses over 5,000 public domain movies. All of them are free on the web legally.

All movies listed on ClassicMoviesCinema.com are in the public domain and are part of Internet archive.

So there is that. Are you going to find a list of the most popular movies in theaters or just released to DVD this week? Absolutely not. You will find quite a few great old classics like Night of the Living Dead and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. If you love the old school black and white classics, then you should snag this app for those dark boring nights. We figured since it was Halloween and all, bringing out some of the classics to your finger tips might be kind of nice.

As mentioned before, the app is just a portal to the website mentioned. You could just bookmark the site and call it good. It will require that you have Flash Player installed to play the movies and that does mean that using Chrome won’t work out so well for you.
