This week’s app of the week, I decided to go with another widget. Yes, you know I love these widgets, and I came across this new Twitter widget that is sure to please you heavy Twitter-ers out there.
Falcon for Twitter is a new customizable, and scrollable widget, that makes reading tweets and writing tweets super easy. Some might say it resembles APW’s style of widget, which it does, but has way more features than APW. What really stands it apart other widgets, is that fact that you can set it to have notifications. When you receive a mention, it will show up in the notification bar and you can either retweet, or reply back all right there in the notification bar. That should be the selling point for you right there, but of course you want more. Writing a tweet is one-click away, and you can set the head application to and third-party Twitter app you please.
As for customizations, Falcon has four themes to choose from. Dark, light, translucent, and transparent. Translucent is my absolute favorite, because it is a dark ICS looking theme. What I also found pretty great about this widget, is the fact that when hitting a tweet, you are launched into Falcon’s own browser for quick access to the information presented. Well done guys, well done. Falcon is free in the Play Store, so I highly recommend you give it a shot. Let us know how you like it.
Check out my video review of Falcon below, and make sure you hit the like thumbs up button.
