This seems to be customary now. No longer is there a race to see who roots a device first on release day as it now it’s determined by who has the inside accessibility to the device. The Transformer has yet to see a release date nor official pricing yet, but a road to development has already been laid thanks to Paul O’Brien and BumbleDroid. Now future Transformer owners not only have root available but the source code has also already been released, can’t ask for much more than that. It seems the reasons to purchase this tablet far outweigh the reason not to.
No how-to has been posted yet, but seeing as the chances of you having a device accessible at the moment is slim, waiting shouldn’t be an issue. =P
