ASUS Transformer AiO P1801 goes on sale in the US

The ASUS Transformer AiO P1801 is now available in the US. The desktop/tablet hybrid first appeared at Computex in June 2012 and again at CES 2013.

The Transformer AiO is unique in that it has two separate processors, one running Windows 8 and the other running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The all-in-one PC’s docking base has a third-gen Intel i5 or i7 processor or a Tegra 3 Quad-core CPU in tablet mode.

Wireless Remote Desktop technology lets users stream Windows 8 over Wi-Fi, allowing for desktop performance with added portability. The desktop has an 18.4″ multi-touch display, 8 GB of RAM, a 1 TB HDD, and a GeForce GT 730M GPU.

As a tablet, some of the specs include 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a 1MP camera. Ports for the tablet include a MicroSD slot, a Mini USB 2.0 port, a docking port and a headphone jack.

The Transformer AiO starts at $1,299 and be be purchased from ASUS retailers.
