It still amazes me how the Transformer changed from the underdog to a champion, quickly becoming one of the top most anticipated devices out of the whole line-up of upcoming devices. After the initial launch in the UK, which completely depleted the first shipments ASUS had on reserve, it would be safe to assume that delays would be seen elsewhere. As we’re reportedly experiencing now. ASUS has already said that the UK sales took them by surprise and that next time they would be better prepared in case a situation like that one occurred again. The delay sets the launch of the Transformer back to sometime in July.
It this ends up being true we ASUS may be overstocked with the laptop-like tablets as competitors will be releasing an onslaught of other Honeycomb device at that time. Of course there’s always a chance that the heightened anticipation could lead to an unrivaled launch day. We’ll find out eventually.
