Just a few days after we reported that Asus would be releasing their newest tablet on April 22nd, Asus has now released official details regarding pricing for the tablet. The Asus Transformer Pad TF300 will be available on Asus’s online website starting April 23rd, and in official retail stores starting on April 30th.
As far as pricing details go, the handsome new tablet will cost you $379 for the 16GB version and $399 for the 32GB version. That’s a heck of a deal for the 32GB model, coming in only at $20 more than the 16GB model. Since this tablet is indeed a “Transformer,” life wouldn’t be complete without a keyboard dock, right? For those of you who would like to purchase a keyboard dock to go along with your new Transformer Pad TF300, Asus will have an optional $149 keyboard dock available for purchase. However, make note that this dock won’t be compatible with the original Asus Transformer and the quad-core Transformer Prime.
Specs for the tablet include:
- 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 3 Processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 Display
- 8MP Back Camera, 1.2MP FFC
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
And for you color fanatics, the tablet will be available in either royal blue, torch red, or iceberg white. However, the tablet will initially launch with royal blue, with the other colors slated to be released in early June.
