At the ongoing Computex 2016 event in Taiwan, ASUS has just launched three new smartphone as an upgrade to the Zenfone 2 series. ASUS had already revealed a bunch of teasers on social media hinting towards the announcement of these devices.
Asus Zenfone 3
The ASUS Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and Zenfone 3 Ultra come with advanced cameras with new PixelMaster technology, new Zen UI and many more things. Coming to the Zenfone 3, it features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution with 2.5D glass on front and back. Under the hood, it comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU.
It also comes with 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), ƒ/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus mechanism. The front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel sensor with ƒ/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens. Moreover, the device also supports 4K video recording with 0.03 seconds TriTech autofocus technology, 4-axis OIS, and 3-axis EIS.
The Zenfone 3 has a 3,000 mAh battery, and will be available in Shimmer Gold, Aqua Blue, Sapphire Black and Moonlight White. It will have a price tag of $249 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant.
Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe
Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with 5.7-inch full-HD Super Super AMOLED display and runs the new ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe features a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS and laser autofocus.
The primary camera uses a Sony IMX318 sensor with 4-axis optical image stabilization and 3-axis electronic image stabilization. The front-facing camera uses the same 8-megapixel sensor that is used in the Zenfone 3. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back, which can protect the device from unauthorized use.
In the connectivity department, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe features dual-SIM card slot with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, and a USB Type-C port with Quick Charge 3.0 compatibility. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is priced at $499 for the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB storage. It will be available in Titanium Grey, Glacial Silver and Sand Gold.
ASUS Zenfone 3 Ultra
The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra comes with a larger 6.8-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, and 4GB RAM. It has USB Type-C port with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology and a 4,600 mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0.
The camera on the Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a resolution of 23 megapixels as well as 4-axis OIS and 3-axis EIS mechanism. The front-facing 8-megapixel camera has ƒ/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens.
It comes with an invisible antenna design, dual stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio. The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra comes in gray, silver, and gold colors. Its price starts at $479 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version.
