The race is on across the globe to get Android 5.0 Lollipop out to consumers. HTC, Motorola, LG and Samsung have certainly upped their game this year with many devices already getting Lollipop. On the Samsung front we have seen Lollipop make its way to the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 4 in various locales. The Galaxy Note Edge is close on their heels. Those of you in Australia with a Galaxy Note Edge, model SM-N915G to be specific, should be on the lookout for an OTA notification as you are the next recipients of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.
The update is weighing in at 1018.12MB’s and will bring your Note Edge up to speed with heads-up notifications, improved notifications system, multiuser accounts, guest mode, Android Smart Lock and lots more. Not to mention the Material Design updated look to the stock Samsung apps.
If you aren’t seeing the update yet head into Settings > About Phone > Software Update and give it a look. When it does hit your device be sure you have well over 50% life on your battery, a sold Wi-Fi connection and some time to wait for the update to download and install.
