Bloomberg confirms that Google is indeed in talks for Streaming Music Service, could be seen at Google I/O

Google Streaming Music
Last week we caught on to an article that hit with unnamed sources confirming that Google was indeed in talks with record labels to launch its very own streaming music service. Earlier today Bloomberg reported the same findings citing “two people with knowledge of the situation.” According to the post, negotiations are underway behind closed doors to license their music for a stream solution.

They further mention that the service is slated for a 3rd quarter availability.  With Android, iOS and other popular platforms the primary target no doubt. However , Apple is supposedly looking to do the same thing. So the question is if Apple would allow a Google streaming service through to the app store or not. It is still a bit early to start the speculation on all of that. Google would want to make the service available on as many mobile platforms as possible along with availability online via the web, Chrome extension or app of sorts.

For Android and Google lovers out there, one could make the assumption that Google could showcase something from any current deals during Google I/O. It is scheduled to take place in the middle of May. While that might only be the middle of Q2, it is a prime time to show off something new and upcoming from Google and for Android.

If they can undercut Spotify, offer a better solution for Android users and make the UI brilliant, then I am pretty sure everyone will be jumping on board. If and when Google makes the announcement do you plan on jumping on? We will. I know I use Google Music exclusively on my Galaxy S III and Spotify on exclusively on my PC. It would be nice to have one service to rely on.
