Boot Your Motorola Droid X Into Recovery Mode

In the chance that Android hackers can gain root access on the Motorola Droid X, here are the instructions to booting your device into recovery mode.

Step 1.)

  • Turn your device off.

Step 2.)

  • Hold the “Home” button and press the “Power” button until the Motorola logo appears.

Step 3.)

  • When the logo appears, release the “Power” button while continuing to hold the “Home” button until the exclamation triangle appears.

Step 4.)

  • Release the “Home” button and press the “Search” button once.

Step 5.)

  • Your Motorola Droid X will now enter Recovery Mode.
    • To turn reboot your DX, press the Volume UP key or Volume DOWN key to navigate through the menu and select “Reboot System Now” by pressing the “Camera” button.

I’m sure some of you hackers out there are working diligently to somehow find a way in to gain root access, keep up the good work so we can show Motorola that we can’t be stopped.
