[Breaking] Gameloft Live for Android makes gaming more social than ever Before

While at the Crunchies, Nibletz, had a chance to get the first details of Gameloft’s next offering for Android. Keeping things ultra simple it is called Gameloft Live. Gameloft Live will be a completely social experience instead of what is currently offered in-game.

You will simply login with your Gameloft ID, which you should have from playing past games, or create a new one. You get to cruise through and create an avatar of your choosing. You will end up using your avatar throughout the Hub to interact with. You won’t be limited to just a few looks or alterations either. You will be able to adjust the face, the clothing, hair style, hair color and all other important aspects that help you personalize your avatar. As of this point the avatar is just viewable in your Hub, as Gameloft expands on the social aspect though, it should appear to others. While the main focus is really connecting with friends and seeing your achievements on various games you play.

Within your Hub you can further customize how it looks. You will be able to build up your achievements to earn money towards buying other Hubs or you can drop some cold hard cash. The more achievements you snag up and the more money you spend will let you unlock other achievements or adding more friend. From the My Trophies section you will be able to cruise through all of the games that you play, see your achievements and various other awards from the game.

The whole point of the new addition is to help make Gameloft gaming more social and interactive. By deploying a much easier to UI to view your friends, what games they are playing and if your buddy is kicking your but on achievements is a fun way to bring some competition to your day. Another addition in the social aspect is the ability to communicate right through the service to your friends, by sending messages to them. Hence the small envelope at the top of the screen.

It appears that Gameloft has put a lot of time and effort into bringing something fun and unique to the Android gaming community. They are scheduled to do a soft launch of the application tomorrow and if all goes as it should, we will see it available to all on Monday. We have a feeling Gameloft will being making many new additions and updates over the next few months to provide a solid experience. Expect more items to purchase, deeper game integration, and tweaks to keep things running strong.

What do you guys think? Do the screenshots look like it will take off, or is this just another way to solicit your hard earned dollar? I know I’ll give it a go when I finally becomes available, sadly I don’t have much time to play games. The good news is you can compare your self to my stats and laugh.
