When popular phones come out, companies out there will do their very best to come out with a cheaper fake version. There have been many iPhone fakes and Galaxy S phone fakes out there, and we have even come across some not so crafty fake versions of the HTC One. Well it seems that the boys over at Engadget found a plastic version of the HTC One that looks to be a pretty well done clone of the device.
Now if it was not indicated on image of which one was fake and which one was the real thing, you would probably scratch your head a little bit before deciding which one was the real device. They did a splendid job with the looks of the phone, but of course, they brought down the specs a little bit. Right off the bat, the screen is 1,280 x 720 instead of 1,920 x 1,080, bringing the HD quality down just a little bit. The camera also does not look like it has the ultra pixel camera, and just as a regular 8 MP camera. Battery is slightly smaller, and the processor is only a 1.2 GHZ quad-core MediaTek MT6589, instead of the 1.7 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 600.
So looking at the two of them, it could be hard to determine which is real and which one is fake. The fake One will obviously be much lighter, so once you pick them up, you would know instantly by its weight. Check out Engadget’s video below, and let us know what you guys think.
