Remember the Nexus Q? Yeah, many of us have forgotten it already, but Google decided they did not want to give up on bringing a TV experience to their users. It is simple; turn that ball they once had, and mak it an easy to use, and portable, HDMI stick.
In comes Chromecast, a Nexus Q like device that comes in a simple and easy to use package that you can slip into your HDMI port. It is then powered by usb, and then it will allow you to control what is streamed from your phone or tablet. Now there is no version of Android on Chromecast, it is simply a Chrome experience which I think is the better way to go. I think Google has given up on trying to bring Android to peoples TVs.
The price of a Chromecast is a cheap $35, and if you act now, you will get up to 3 months of Netflix for free. They will be shipping the Chromecasts on August 7th, so get into to the Play Store and order your new home theater experience. Let us know if you did.
