Cincinnati Bell Launches the Samsung Behold II

Sounds to me like more Samsung drama is in our midst. Coming as a shocker to everyone, the Samsung Behold II will be launching on Cincinnati Bell. The good thing is that the device will run stock Android instead of the Touchwiz UI. The drama floating around the Samsung Behold II is that its users were stuck with Android 1.5 and it was said that the device could not support any firmware upgrades. Once that happened, customers were irate, and can you blame them? After all of the responses were received by Behold II users, Samsung took action and upgraded the firmware to Android 1.6 out of desperation. Following update issues, they have since stopped the OTA update until further notice.

The pricing and availability details are as follows:

  • To walk with the Samsung Behold II with a new 2-yr contract, the device will cost you $129.99 after a $100 mail in rebate
  • To purchase the device outright, you will need to man up and pay $229.99
  • The Samsung Behold II is available in Cincinnati Bell retail stores today or can be purchased via their online store.
