Time for the boys at CyanogenMod to chime in on the day that belongs to the NEXUS. Seems that the boys have decided to add a nice little feature called “expandable desktop”. What is that magnificence you ask? Nothing major. Just hides your status bar to make your desktop a little bit bigger. This feature comes in handy if you are playing a game, or in an app and you accidentally hit the status bar launching your messaging app or Gmail. It makes sense. Pictures below explain it all.
This feature was actually pulled from the CM10 based Paranoid ROM. I have been rocking Paranoid for a while now, and it is definitely handy on that ROM simply because I’m rocking the status bar on the bottom of my screen. I like to be different. So be on the lookout for the expandable desktop feature in future CM10 releases. Let us know if you already got this feature on your device.
