Google’s $35 Chromecast, often less, media dongle has certainly been picking up more and more content provider support over the last few months. Just 2 weeks ago Starz Play, Showtime Anytime, UFC.TV and a handful of family friendly games updated with official support for the device. Today we have seven more to add to the official list of apps.
Among the list is Comedy Central, Sesame Street Go, Nickelodeon, TuneIn, Epix, YuppTV and Encore Play.
Don’t forget, the new Nexus Player supports casting too. So if a dedicated HDMI stick isn’t your cup of tea, there is another option out there. Personally I am waiting for the second gen Chromecast to launch. Rumor has it that it will support dual-band 5GHz Wi-Fi. That won’t stop me from picking up a second one though if it hits hard on a Black Friday sale.
