Almost exactly one year ago, Chinese startup manufacturer OnePlus launched its maiden smartphone, the OnePlus One, and since then has done a pretty good job of solidifying itself as a company that’s going to be sticking around for awhile longer. Naturally, since its been a year from the launch of its first phone we’re wondering when its successor, the OnePlus Two, is going to be announced. But if an invitation posted on OnePlus’ Google+ page is anything to go by, that announcement could be as early as April 20th.
The invite is accompanied by the statement “From here on out, anything could happen” – OnePlus’ marketing has alternated between much too obvious and extremely vague, so it’s a bit too hard to guess if there’s anything cryptic hidden in there. Our best bet is that it’s been a year since the OnePlus One’s announcement that it would be a logical time for the OnePlus Two to be announced. Thankfully, we’ll only have to wait a few days to find out whether what we’ve predicted is true.
