Cricket Wireless has announced a new device offering for current and would be consumers in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. The Grand Prime brings users a 5-inch (540 x 960) screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 8GB internal storage (with micro SD card slot) and 1GB of RAM. It also offers a 8MP rear shooting camera at 3264 x 2448 pixels and is paired with a 5MP front shooter that can record video in 1080p and is also a wide angle lens for selfie takers out there. The Grand Prime powers Android 4.4 KitKat with a 2,600 mAh battery that is rated for 17 hours of talk time on 3G. Probably cut that in half on 4G.
“We are staying on trend and keeping up with what customers want by continuing to expand our lineup of high quality, affordable 4G LTE smartphones,†said Janna Ducich, vice president and chief marketing officer, Cricket Wireless. “This is a great device for those looking for a larger screen and premium features without the high price tag.â€
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime will run consumers $179.99 at Cricket Wireless stores and online.
