CROON announces ‘The Original’ ultra sleek Bluetooth Hi-Fi audio speaker System

I don’t know what it is about me and accessories, especially audio accessories. I personally love having options available to me for listening to music and watching movies. Either on the go, or in the kitchen or in the bedroom. While having something around that can blast out your tunes is great, also having something that looks good and sounds good is much-needed. After all, if it is ugly and sounds like dirt, people will just laugh at you.

CROON Audio has just announced a new line of Bluetooth speakers called ‘The Original’. Merging modern electronics with wood craftsmanship they have created one amazing looking speaker system. The speaker house is made from 8mm MDF (Medium-Density fiberboard) manufactured wood which allows for VLD (Very Low Distortion) when listening to music at higher volumes. Let’s face it, mood music is an essential to life, but cranking it up is what it is all about. The Original has two 2.5″ speakers that have been matched with an acoustic amplifier giving a total of 15watts per channel.

The Original also has a simple one-touch Bluetooth pairing to make syncing it to any Bluetooth enabled device a breeze. In case you need another connection option, there is also a 3.5mm input jack as well. Which would work out well for laptops, MP3 players and other non-Bluetooth enabled devices.

“I started off with a need for phenomenal sound in a small form factor,” says The Original innovator Raul Chinda. “I wanted to create something so amazing that it would stop you in your tracks and make you listen to that song in a way you’ve never heard it before.”

The Original speaker features:

•    Stereo Hi-Fi Amplifier with integrated Stereo Bluetooth Receiver
•    Speakers: 2.5” x 2 full range drivers
•    Tuned enclosure made from 8mm MDF wood allows for improved bass response
•    Bluetooth connectivity
•    Size  10.5”x 8”x 3.5”
•    Colors: Original Black, White on White, Agent Grey and Lady in Red

We found a YouTube video posted by CROON on how to pair the speaker with an Android device. Not to difficult, turn on Bluetooth and hit the button the back. Then pair it up. During that little video though, we got a look at the rear of The Original. On the back you will also find a headphone jack and a USB Charging port.

Not that you are all that curious about how to pair an Android device to a Bluetooth device, but the video below demonstrates just that. The video was added so you could see the device a little better and if you skip up to around the 1:44 time stamp, you will get a chance to hear it a little bit too. We thought that was pretty important.

So, it looks great, the specs sound pretty great the audio in the video sounds great, but how much is one of these gonna set you back. The Original comes in a variety of color options currently. The black is selling for $199.99 While the Grey and Premium White on White are going for $229.99. Of course you can spring for the limited edition Lady in Red for $234.99.

For more information and to order your Original, you will want to point your browser to croonaudio.com. We currently only see the Original in black listed at their store for now, but the other colors should come online soon.
