Custom Gingerbread Icons for Launcher Pro or ADWLauncher

If you are looking to make your device look even more like Gingerbread, then XDA member Longsh0t has you covered.  He has created a series of png files modeled after the latest Android Gingerbread 2.3 software. All these png’s are very easy to apply using Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher. I have only used these on ADW myself. Of course, unless you want to really dig into the file system and replace the framework-res files, these icons are only good for using on your home screens.

Here’s how to change them in the latest ADW:

First thing to do is move all these images into a folder on your device’s memory.

Menu > Add> Custom Shortcut> Pick Your Activity > Applications> Select your application > tap on the Icon to the left of “Pick Your Activity” Find where you have these png files stored, select it and adjust the crop to fit the png.

I am sure some of you more talented folk will make a very nice flashable zip file for us all to use at some point, but for now this is nice. If any of you plan to make a zip, or if you have found one, let us know. I would love one for my Vibrant.

You can head on over to xda-developers and download this awesome RAR pack.
