Cygnett brings quality products at an affordable Price

While cruising around the Digital Experience in Vegas, I came across a table loaded with cases, headphones, stands and just about anything else you can imagine. They had an impressive layout and an even more impressive group of people on hand to speak with. Those of us here in the states might not recognize the name Cygnett, but those of you in Australia sure will. They are a fairly large company over there. After meeting with them for a few minutes I knew we needed to find them on the show floor during CES. When we did, we were greeted with welcoming arms and were taken on a tour of their product line up.

Since Cygnett has such a huge variety of products that can keep you browsing for hours, we wanted to focus our efforts on a few samples that were bestowed upon us.

Earbuds and headphone maybe abundant in the market, but few have style, design and sound quality on their side. One of the first products we were offered is their Razr II earbuds. The bud its self has a slight curve to it that helps it fit in your ear. Combined with the flat back that sits perfectly in the small gab in your ear, they stay put nicely. To keep you going and tangle free, these offer a unique flat ribbon cable that runs all the way down to a round headphone plug. They are extremely light weight and look slick. A person might think, when you see the price tag, that they would sound like any other average earbud. Well, I am happy to report they don’t. They have some great sound-isolating technology combined with some powerful bass for a crisp, clean and clear listening experience. You can find these for sale on their website or in a variety of sales locations like AT&T, Fry’s and Target. Online there are listed at only $24.99.

The second product we got a chance to bring home is their latest addition to the tablet stand market. Simply called the ‘Platform’. When you think of a stand for your tablet you are mostly looking at price and build quality. The last thing you want is a cheap plastic stand that gives out or falls over on you often. The Platform won’t do that to you. It is made using a single piece of light weight, but sturdy, Aluminum. The base offers a non-slip grip pad to keep it in place while it is sitting and so it won’t scratch surfaces. The same rubberized non-slip material is also used for the back and the two arms that hold your tablet up. The two arms are important for not only holding your tablet, but also to allow for cord access. Giving the stand something a little different from a regular flat holder. On the rear of the stand they have cut out a long oval. This addition is not so much for design and looks, but rather serves a purpose. It allows you to pipe you charging or data cables through the back of the stand to keep them out-of-the-way. There is even a small cord notch to tuck the cable in if you so do desire. It is really built well, looks good and offers you a bit more than a standard plastic stand. Price wise, you are looking at $39.99. They aren’t available for purchase just yet, but will be soon.

We were also able to snag a couple of cases, a car charger and wall charger as well. The chargers, while not terribly difficult to review, are just nice accessories to have if you need a spare one or lost yours. The wall charger is your standard wall plug with a single USB plug on the bottom. The car charger on the other hand is a nice one to have. Although I can’t seem to find it on their US-based website. It offers you dual USB ports. Because lets face it, you aren’t in your car alone all that often, other people might need a charge too.

We will dive into the cases a little bit later. As for the products we have already used, we are very pleased. The Razr II’s sound and look great, the Platform is solid and stylish with some great addition functionality and design qualities. If you have a chance or a need to pick something up that is worth the money and won’t break the bank, we would easily recommend taking a look at Cygnett without a doubt.

Go check out their extensive product line up at a variety of retail locations or online at Cygnett.com. They also have a fairly extensive list of accessories on Amazon.com. Mostly for the iOS variety of products though.
