In probably the quietest launch ever, Dell has made their “Aero” available via Dell’s online store. This device was expected to launch well before the Dell Streak, but as we can see that wasn’t the case. The Dell Areo is currently available for $99 on a 2yr. contract with AT&T or $299 without.
Features of the Dell Aero include:
- Android 1.5
- Custom Dell UI
- 3.5-inch capacitive display
- 640×360 resolution
- 2GB of onboard storage
- 5-megapixel camera
This device offers nothing compared to the high-end device hitting the market, but this is a pretty decent device if you just would like an Android phone and don’t care about firmware upgrades. The standard buttons found on any other Android device, have shifted to the side of the device, which I’m sure will only assist with this device’s short life expectancy.
