Dell offering HTC Aria for free !

AT&T officially launched the HTC Aria yesterday, which appears to be a pretty good phone and the first serious Android phone on the AT&T network. Now you finally have an alternative to the iPhone 3G/3GS. AT&T is offering this phone for a $129 with a new 2-year contract and a $100 rebate. But why spend $129 when you can get it for free? Today we saw Wirefly offering the HTC Aria for free with new activation and a 2 year agreement, Dell is also offering the same deal. You can get the HTC Aria from Dell absolutely free with a new 2 year activation. That’s a good way to increase your customer base, AT&T is for sure very smart.

The HTC Aria features a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor at 600MHz, a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 3G, WiFi, and 6 hours of talk time. The device runs Android 2.1 with the HTC Sense UI. It’s a good alternative if you are fed up with your iPhone 3G/3GS. AT&T is still not taking interest in high end devices, I guess because they want to keep the iPhone 4 as their flagship device. We saw AT&T announcing the Samsung Captivate , a high-end device which is the AT&T version of Samsung Galaxy S, but I don’t think AT&T is giving this device high priority. The Samsung Captivate is set to release this Summer.
