Dell roadmap shows some new Android Devices

I am really happy to see Dell showing some love to Android. AndroidCentral got their hands on the Dell roadmap showing Android MID, netbook, and tablet devices that Dell will launch over the coming year and a half. In the roadmap, the first category shows the small devices. Three days ago, some screenshots of Dell upcoming Android handsets hits the web containing the Thunder, Flash and Smoke. And in the first category you can see the Thunder. And one thing is also clear here that Dell will launch the Thunder (may be Flash and Smoke too) officially in the Q4 of 2010. And then the second category shows the Medium devices which woulde be Dell Streak, aka Mini 5. The roadmap shows that it will hit the US and UK market next month, then later in the Chinese market. In the large category, comes the Looking Glass (LG) and LG Pro. Both devices only come with WiFi. It could be that the 7″ and 10″ inch Version of Dell Streak is the Looking Glass series. Because the roadmap shows that the Looking Glass comes with 7″ inch SVGA TFT Display, the Dell Streak also comes with a 7″ inch screen. And according to the roadmap, the Looking Glass will hit the market in Q3 of 2010 and LG Pro in Q1 of 2011. And now the extra large (XL) Series. XL shows something that we don’t know yet. The Sparta, with an 11″ inch netbook tablet and Athens, an 11″ inch true netbook. Both netbooks come with ARM processor, optional 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. The total weight of the Athens is also o.9 kilogram. It’s mean that it’s a super slim and light netbook. The Sparta will hit the market in August and Athens in the fall.

I think the year 2010 is Dell year for Android. So folks, share your thoughts with us.
