[Download] Dropbox update in the works, brings bulk upload, Android 4.0 support and much More

Some of you lucky LG and Xperia owners may have taken Box up on their free 50gb storage for life offer that is currently running. That is all well and good, but many if us still stick to our roots and are Dropbox lifers. I know I am and so is most of our team here at AndroidStory. It is fast, it is convenient and offers a lot of abilities that many of us love. We haven’t heard much from Dropbox in the last few months. That usually means they are hard at work to bring in bug fixes and increased usability. It looks like that is exactly what they have been up to. According to a forum post located ion Dropbox.com, a member of the Dropbox team let loose some new information along with a download of the newest apk that hasn’t been released to the market just yet. Here’s what we can all look forward too –

As a reminder, in this release the app has been given a huge visual and under-the-hood overhaul, adding a bunch of new features:
• Favorites: quick offline access to files
• Bulk upload photos and videos
• Rename files and folders
• Single-tap access to all file and folder actions
• Improved gallery view
• Upload from and export to local storage
• Numerous bug fixes and stability improvements

The app has also received new language support beyond English and has been optimized for Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Like we mentioned earlier, they have dropped the apk on their forums for everyone to download and test out. That was sure nice of them. You can find the download link below. Let us know what you think of the new update.

Download – Dropbox 1.3.0.6 apk

Simply download the apk above, install it like you would any other 3rd party application and enjoy it. If you experience any issues, the Dropbox team asks that you reply to the forum post outlining the problem as detailed as possible. The sooner it is all fixed up the sooner it can get into the market for others to enjoy.
