[Download] XBMC for Android hits Official Beta 2, come and get It

XBMC put out an update to their free open source streaming app and player late last night. Moving the Android app to Beta 2 with a code name of Frodo attached. This is pretty exciting news for many people as XBMC is a fairly widely used software across multiple OS’s across the globe.

The Beta app is ready for you to download and try out when you have the time, but there are a few things that are mentioned that you should know ahead of time. First off, you will need a fairly newer Android device that has some kick behind it to function. Also, if you are sporting Android 4.2 either as stock on the Nexus line or by way of a custom ROM like CyanogenMOD, you won’t be able to utilize this just yet. Seems Android 4.2 broke a few things with XBMC and they are hard at work to fix it. They mention that Beta 3 is right around the corner and should fix those issues.

We know many of you have been waiting for this to finally find its way to Android. To snag the build directly to your device, click the link below. While you are at it, you might also want to check out the more detailed information at XBMC.org, their XBMC for Android forums and at the XBMChub.
