DROID 4 Root Discovered, Won’t be available until $500 bounty is collected

And just like that, root on the DROID 4 has been achieved. As a previous DROID 3 owner,  I know how annoying it is to wait for your device to be rooted. DJRbliss, better yet known as Dan Rosenberg, has achieved root on the Motorola DROID 4 that was just released today. However, he is not releasing the exploit until a $500 bounty is collected.

I know what you guys are thinking: this guy is so greedy. But that’s not the reason why he wants the $500 bounty-he needs $200 to actually purchase the DROID 4 and another $300 will be donated to the American Red Cross. I think that’s a pretty good trade-off, considering that if you donate, you’re helping achieve root on your brand new DROID 4, as well as donating and helping a good cause.

If you’re interested in donating because you have a DROID 4, or just because you’re awesome, you can donate through WePay found here.
