Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD could be landing in October

Many people were hopeful for the new Motorola DROID RAZR HD line to be announced during that little Facebook game that Motorola started. Sadly, that was just wishful thinking from followers, bloggers and  nut cases, like us. It seems though that the next HD version of the RAZR isn’t to far off though. An insider tipped off HotHardware to a few things, including a potential release month. Yes, month. According tot he tipster Motorola should be announcing and launching an HD version of the original RAZR and RAZR MAXX in October. They say it is that could shift depending how well the current two RAZR’s are selling at the time.

Apparently there are only two major things that will make the new HD versions better. First, the HD screen at a resolution of 720 x 1280 and the dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor pushing 1.5GHz to the devices. There is also talks of a 13MP camera too. We are sure there has to be a little more to it than that.

The leaked images we have seen in the past along with other rumors still peg the HD variants to come pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich. If Motorola really wants to step up to the plate though, they should hold off on launching the device to get Jelly Bean up and running. Then it might have a fighting chance in the market. Is that enough for a current RAZR owner to shell out more money? Maybe it will be enough to temp you into buying one at launch.
