EA Drops SimCity Deluxe in the market. Relive your past and build your own City

I spent countless hours playing SimCity 2000 years and years ago. That addicting feeling of building and managing a city from the ground up was very satisfying. Constantly building and expanding and watching areas go from good to great was awesome. Then came the time when I would forget power or water and neglect a certain area to watch it become a set of dilapidated buildings. Easy fix, just demolish it and start again.

As if running your city isn’t a big enough pain, they had to toss in random natural disasters like meteor showers, blizzards and heat waves. If you managed to survive all of that, then you would easily live to see the alien invasions. I so don’t ever want to be a mayor in real life.

If you have fond memories of this game like I do, then you are going to love to hear that EA has brought it Android. Offering up the chance to play 7 various scenarios including hosting the World Games and coping with a heat wave. Your 7 starter cities are inspired by world-famous locations and allow you to make them how you think they should be, you can even use 40 renowned landmarks in your city.

Just seeing this game pop back up makes me smile a little. I can imagine that it would play best on a tablet, where you have a little bit of real estate to utilize the buttons. I am sure that some of the game play might be a little tricky on an all touch screen. I am very tempted to buy it just to have it, but I doubt I would get much use out of it on Vibrant. For the rest of you that don’t mind though, you can pick it up below.
