Enhanced Google Search coming to iOS. Why?

So I wonder how many Android fanboys have screamed and yelled at their computers, and/or phones today when they saw the news about the enhanced Google search coming to iOS. I will admit, my mouth dropped when I saw the YouTube video. After Google Now has come from our beloved new batch of Android awesomeness, Jelly Bean, we see a similar Google search rocking on an iPhone. First thing I thought was someone ported it over to a hacked iPhone. Sadly, I hear that it was not, and that iOS users were going to be getting this enhanced Google search before many Android users.

Soon to be available in the iOS app store later this week, this Google search has the same look, and voice as Google Now. You say a command, and that familiar voice talks back retrieving the information you have asked for. Is your heart broken yet? We have our answer from Google though. Google has stressed the fact that it is not the same as Google Now, simply because the answers  do not come back in cards. That is it? The cards? Anyone that has used Google Now knows that you only get a small amount of cards. I only use 3 cards myself. Weather, traffic, and sports scores. Now I am not saying the cards are not nice and pretty to look at, but if that is the only difference between Google Now and this new Google search for iOS, that is just no good. Guess Apple saw all the videos of SIRI getting her digital rear-end handed to her, and needed something better.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think. For those of you that want a Google Now like app, just switch to the iPhone. I am kidding of course, but try not to weep to hard when you watch the video.
