Android Lollipop hasn’t been out long at all, but an update has already been pushed out by Google. Factory images for Android 5.0.1 Lollipop have been posted up on the Google Developers website presumably to address many of the bugs that Nexus device owners have been complaining about for the last few weeks. While we’re not entirely sure yet what the update changes, we do know that Android 5.0.1 has so far been made available for the Nexus 9 Wi-Fi, Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi and Nexus 10. You’ll notice that the update is so far only for Wi-Fi only tablets presumably as the issues with cellular modems are a little trickier to fix, though apparently the Nexus 7 2012 isn’t getting any love either.
If you do own one of these devices and are looking to see what Android 5.0.1 might fix, make sure you visit the Google Developers website here and download the relevant update. If you do install Android 5.0.1, we’d love to hear from you in the comments below and if you’ve noticed anything that’s been fixed.
What do you think about the factory images for Android 5.0.1 Lollipop popping up so soon? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
