Ever been stuck at home knowing your friends are out doing something fun, but don’t where they are cause they aren’t answering your calls? Maybe you are just looking for new friends to hang out with. Smaart-Friend-Finder can help you out in both departments. The applications is a location based GPS social networking program. Â Allowing you to see exactly where your friends and family are without the need to call them first to find out.
Some may compare this to Google Latitude, and in some ways it is similar but many differences. SFF allows you to filter out just your friends or family and also allows you to see where other users of the application are. That is your choice though. You need to set the visibility to worldwide if you are in the market for new friends in the area.
There are of course drawbacks to apps like these. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone hiding from the police or who maybe trying to avoid people. It is still a pretty cool idea to help you stay connected and located though.
