T-Mobile is ringing in the holiday season with the “Find the Elf” contest, which could land you $1000 and a Samsung Galaxy SII with an entire year of free service, if you’re lucky enough to hunt the little bugger down. Wanna know what you have to do? The rules are pretty simple. First, make sure you’re following @TMobile on Twitter — most of you probably already are, but just in case.
Next, keep your eyes peeled on that Twitter timeline for the Elf’s ciphered clues. Your mission is to decipher these clues, go to the correct T-Mobile retail store, find the elf and tweet at him. Once you’ve nabbed the slippery little sucker, you’ll be the cool recipient of an 1,000 smackers, as well as a shiny new SGSII with a full year of service without having to spend a dime. What better way to start a new year, eh?

The “T-Mobile® Find the Elf Twitter Promotion†will take place throughout the day at select T-Mobile retail locations (i.e., retail locations operating under the T-Mobile name, NOT 3rd party retailers of T-Mobile products/services) in New York, New York on Wednesday December 7, 2011, Los Angeles, California on Wednesday December 14, 2011 and Atlanta, Georgia on Friday December 16, 2011 (“Promotion Periodsâ€).
During each Promotion Period a one (1) clue will be Tweeted from the @TMobile Twitter account about which of the T-Mobile® retail locations in that City the T-Mobile® Elf (“Elfâ€) presently can be found. The Elf will be wearing Holiday clothing with a T-Mobile badge. You must decipher the clue to figure out the current location of the Elf, go to that location and, in the Elf’s presence, tweet a message which contains: (i) the text “I found the Elf†to @TMobile; (ii) the #FindtheElf hashtag and (iii) the url to the Official Rules: http://goo.gl/wukf1 (collectively, the “Tweet”). In order to participate in the Promotion, send your message as a public Tweet not a private Direct Message. As per the Twitter site your Tweet can be no more than 140 characters.
Your Tweet must be comprised of all three (3) elements (and nothing else) for it to be considered an Eligible Entry (as hereinafter defined). A Tweet that does not contain the text “I found the Elfâ€, the hashtag and the url to the Official Rules or which contains additional text beyond the three (3) elements will not be considered an eligible entry. Use of the hashtag for purposes other than Promotion participation is strongly discouraged. (Note: You will need to create a Twitter account if you don’t already have one. Twitter registration is free.)
