First LG Optimus G commercial spotted, offers very little, but enough to make us Smile

There is no doubt in any of our minds that LG will be formally announcing and unveiling the LG Optimus G on September 19th. Previously released teasers for the device and press invites pointed to the event being dedicated to it. Now a TV advertisement has surfaced for the device. We don’t think it can get much clearer that the Optimus G is right around the corner. Of course the commercial was located on a korean YouTUbe channel, which means we have no idea what the heck they are saying in it. The TV spot has pleasant music and lots of sporadic things going on. Looks a bit like how Samsung approaches their ads as far as making them appealing to how people live their life, not how fast you can open and close and app.

I do find one thing a little intriguing though. In one section of the ad there is a guy floating through the water playing a guitar. No that isn’t the interesting part. The interesting part is that about 5 seconds later you see the Optimus G and the same guy playing the video of him under water. Call me crazy, but, wouldn’t this lead you to also believe then that the device is waterproof to a certain degree?  We are probably reading too much into it really. The technology is there though, we say a Toshiba tablet in a fish tank that was charging wirelessly at CES.

They sure do show an awful lot of water in the ad though. Take a quick watch, and if any of our readers read and understand Korean and would like to translate what the heck is going on, that would be much appreciated.

Are you as excited to see if LG pulled themselves from the depth and landed a whale of a device finally?
