Flappy Bird on Android Wear is now a reality thanks to Corbin Davenport

Yes, I know, you’re probably thinking: wasn’t Flappy Bird on Android Wear months ago? Well, yes and no – a Flappy Bird clone called Flopsy Bird was released to Android Wear within a month of the new operating system being released, but if you wanted that original Flappy Bird feeling because you’re some kind of Flappy Bird connoisseur, you were left high and dry. That is, until Corbin Davenport came along and showed us exactly how this feat can now be done on your own Android Wear device. Check it out in the video below:

Davenport’s prior honour roll includes putting Windows 95, Pokemon and Temple Run 2 onto an Android Wear device, with varying degrees of difficulty but has documented all of his feats so that you can attempt them if you dare. Flappy Bird probably isn’t the most difficult app to get going on a wearable, but I think it’s always interesting to see apps that have natively run on a smartphone also get run on a smartwatch that has a fraction of the power available.
