Four new Android powered tablets by HP on their way this November

HP has announced 4 new Android powered tablets that are slated for release just in time for the holiday shopping season. Keeping things simple, the new line runs the name of “Slate” as they did with the first Slate 7, with various versions to choose from this go round.

You have the Slate Pro 8, which is higher end of the four. It packs in a Tegra 4 processor, 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front facing camera, Micro SD card slot, Micro HDMI and the standard micro USB port for charging.  Screen size is popping in at 7.98-inches, so not quite 8-inches, with a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Next you have the Slate HD 10 and Slate HD 7. We are going to lump them together because their are nearly identical minus the screen size. Oddly enough the HD 10 and HD 7 sport a dual-core processor, 1,280 x 800 IPS display, LTE connectivity on at least one model and Beats Audio. They also state that they will offer 9 hours battery life.

The final tablet headed to the world in November is the Slate 7 Extreme. This will be the second 7-incher variant, but the Extreme packs in the Tegra 4 processor instead of that little dual-core in the HD 7. The Slate 7 Extreme will actually come with a stylus, but according to Engadget, the 1,280 x 800 res screen doesn’t pack an active digitizer. Simple terms, no pressure sensitivity.

It is nice to see HP giving more options. There wasn’t anything in the way of pricing details, but when the official date and pricing becomes available we will let you know.
