Tether for Android is one of the latest tether programs that allows you to tether your computer to your Android phone using a USB cable which then acts as a gateway to your wireless data connection. Â You may be asking why you would want to use Tether for Android when there are other players in the market and with Android’s built-in tethering option. Â To compare to Android’s built-in solution, you don’t require having the latest OS (which some phones may never be able to upgrade to), their product runs through your existing data plan (you don’t need to purchase additional plans) and in some cases carriers may chose not to allow the built-in solution to work.

Tether is a 2 part install that requires the Tether application be installed on your Android phone and then a windows portion that you install on your computer.
