Fujitsu Waterproof Android Tablet gets an FCC Filing, Could be headed States Side

According to a newly discovered FCC filing, Fujitsu is in the process of potentially bringing a new breed of Android tablet to U.S. shores. It is called the F-01D or the Arrows Tab, and  isn’t built with any carrier branding or mobile broadband affiliation. It will be strictly a Wi-Fi enabled device for the time being but may catch on to a carrier at a later date. The Arrows Tab is supposed to launch in Japan later this month and be supported by Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo.

It is entirely possible that Fujitsu is just getting all it’s ducks in a row for international travelers and we may never see this device hit the U.S. shores officially.Who wouldn’t love a 10.1″ waterproof Android tablet though? It would be the ultimate travel companion for trips to the beach, the lake or anywhere else you fear damage could ensue.  The Arrows Tab is said to be packing a TI IMAP4430 1Ghz dual-core processor, 16GB’s of on-board storage, micro-SD card slot, mini USB and standard headphone jacks and rocking Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

We aren’t sure if this device has any depth rating for an underwater experience or if it just designed to with stand the average splash or rain exposure.  Doesn’t really matter, I have kids and this would be an awesome addition to my line up of devices that I wouldn’t have to fear them touching.
