“Fusion Storage” created by ARCHOS, tablets with 256GB of internal storage and support for 128GB micro SD cards

Device storage can sometimes turn into a rather heated battle between users. Be it the cloud users insisting smaller device storage is all you need, or the dedicated micro SD card guys wanting to pack a 128GB card in their device for various needs. The battle tends to heat up even further when it comes to devices that previously offered larger storage and micro SD cards who have since switch the tables and pull the micro SD slot entirely. The arguments tend to be valid based on the individual. Now we have a new potential technology invention dubbed Fusion Storage that has been created by the middle of the road consumer brand manufacturer ARCHOS.

Fusion Storage is a new bit of software that seamlessly combines a devices internal storage and micro SD cards storage on the device. This gives you even more storage for apps, games and movies and whatever else your life could through your way.

Fusion Storage by ARCHOS

A revolutionary and unique technology, ARCHOS Fusion Storage optimizes data storage by fusing internal memory with external micro SD card memory.  Once activated, ARCHOS Fusion Storage automatically migrates data from the micro SD card and optimizes memory balance, resulting in an increase in install space for apps and games, as well as more storage for media and large files.

ARCHOS Fusion Storage will be available on all new ARCHOS tablets and smartphones, including the new Magnus tablets, and through Over-The-Air updates on select models.

ARCHOS Magnus

Fusion Storage on its own will help consumers with current select devices which and should open up a whole new world of possibilities. Beyond the Fusion Storage news ARCHOS also came out swinging with the new Magnus line of tablets. There are 3 version of the tablet to choose from. One uses a Mediatek quad-core processor, while the other two use quad-core Rockchip processors. Most notable in my opinion is the ARCHOS 94 Magnus. This tablet sports a 1280 x 800 9.4-inch screen, a 1.8GHz quad-core Rokchip RK 3288 ARM Cortex A17, MaliT764 and a 6400 mAh battery. It also offers up 256GB of internal storage and supports another 128GB micro SD card. That adds up to 384GB of storage on one device. While I am sure some of that storage is not user storage, it is still a staggering amount when you consider current devices landing in the 32, 64 and 128 GB range with no micro SD card slot. All of that also comes in at just $349 too.

I am a storage hoarder and while the hardware specs aren’t stunning, they seem to offer plenty of oomph and storage to become a solid media tablet with perks. If you are interested in taking a closer look at these guys then direct yourself over to ARCHOS.com.
