Galaxy Note sees early port of ICS via CM9, still needs work of Course

There is almost no device the CyanogenMOD team doesn’t have their grubby little coding finger on. Those that they don’t have their hands in directly, still gets KANGed over to many devices. The latest device to see some CM9 love is the Samsung Galaxy Note. Still very much an early build, it is well under construction. Don’t think you can toss this on your device and have it work perfectly. It is still good to see more devices get some ICS love ahead of Samsung’s schedule.

The U.S. is still waiting on the official information about the Note making it states side. The rumor mills are pegging this device as a sure thing for AT&T and should be announced or at least talked about at CES. There was also a recent rumor today that outs the device as headed to Sprint as well at some point this year.

The 5.3-inch device with a 1.4GHZ dual-core processor has a lot of people ready to drop some serious change for one. You can pick up an unlocked version of it via Amazon right now for a hefty $679. It should sell well when it hits the states if the price is right.

The video below is sort of lengthy and if you want to skip all the installing and booting parts, you will want to skip to about 2:40 in the time line. That is where all the ICS goodness shows its face. P.S. don’t expect a voice over either. The music overlay is pretty relaxing to listen to though.
