Galaxy Note, SGS II and Tab slated to get ICS in Italy in Q2 2012

Ice Cream Sandwich updates have been on every ones mind months before we even got a look at it. The Android Eco system has never been all that good at keeping devices updated after a new OS is launched. Many devices in the wild were promised Gingerbread and are sadly still stuck on Froyo. We could blame Google for that, but that is not where the issue stems from. All the lucky folks over seas are in for a few goodies though, thanks to Samsung.

They have compiled a confirmed list of devices that will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich updates in Q2 2012.

  • Galaxy SII
  • Galaxy Note
  • Galaxy Tab 10.1
  • Galaxy Tab 8.9
  • Galaxy Tab 7.7
  • Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

That’s a pretty good start. This is just the confirmed list, so there might be other devices that will get added to the mix at a later date. Congrats to you Italy, I think it’s time to move out of the U.S. and away from all the garbage that prevents us from seeing updates. I wonder if our SGSII‘s will see an update before next Christmas.
