As we grow closer to the Samsung Unpacked Event, we keep getting more and more information about the Galaxy S IV. Pictures have been leaked, more specs that have come out, and teaser videos have made the past couple weeks pretty exciting. Now we are getting word that the Galaxy S IV will be bringing a new and more efficient AMOLED screen, as well as a 3D camera.
The GSIV will reportedly have the floating touch technology that we reported awhile back, and have something called “green PHOLED”. The green refers to a more battery efficient display that uses about 25% less power than normal AMOLED screens. Good news for those of you that were concurred with what kind of battery life will be coming with the GSIV. Not sure where they came up with the name PHOLED, but it has a nice ring to it.
Now when it comes to the GSIV’s camera, we have heard about the “Samsung orb”. A 360 degree camera that mimics the features of Photosphere, but will probably a lot better than Photosphere. Now there are speculations that the camera might also have 3D capabilities. Samsung has filed a pair of 3D patents, as will as the panoramic patent. Now this might just be something else Samsung is cooking up for maybe a new Galaxy camera, but the timing coincides with the unveiling of the GSIV. 360 degree and 3D camera technology is out there, so why not combine the two for a 360 degree 3D experience. Sounds sexy. Let us know what you guys think.
