The Galaxy Tab was one of the most talked about Android devices this year. Love it or hate it, the Tab changed the game by being the first tablet from one of the big manufacturers in the industry and offered on all of the big four carriers. Following T-Mobile’s lead, Verizon has just reduced the Galaxy Tab’s price by $100 and thrown in $60 worth of free movies from either the Samsung Hub or Blockbuster. This price drop seems to only be available in Verizon Wireless stores as a quick look on Verizonwireless.com still shows the price of $599. While the reduced price of $499 is still high, one thing to consider is that this is an off contract price. Droid-Life, who provided the image above, is reporting they have confirmed the in store discount through two sources and customers who have purchased the device in the last 14 days can still return it to the store for a refund of $100. Is this price drop enough to sway you into buying a Tab? Sound off in the comments to let us know if you’ll be running out in 2011 to buy the Tab from Verizon.
