OnePlus has had mixed success with its marketing ever since the Chinese outfit’s conception, ranging from offensive to appropriate, but thankfully, it’s latest marketing campaign is actually pretty good. Ever since MWC in Barcelona, OnePlus has been teasing something it calls a “game changer”, saying that it is neither a smartphone or tablet. Given how explicit some of the teasers have been, it’s pretty clear that OnePlus’ next product will have something to do with gaming, either a gaming console or some kind of gaming controller for mobile devices. This wouldn’t be a particularly surprising move for OnePlus as they have most recently been expanding their range of offered products with mobile accessories to compliment their maiden device, the OnePlus One. OnePlus says that it will unveil said product in April, and we’d expect a few more not-so-subtle teasers before then. If it is a mobile console, we’re interested to see what OnePlus does with it considering this segment of the market has quietened down quite a bit of late, whereas a game controller seems much more in line with what the company has been doing recently.
