I first met indie developer Game Synesthesia at Australia’s EB Expo earlier this year and from their showing of their mobile game Tapshot, I could see that the game has a lot of potential; you can read my impressions in my EB Expo Roundup. Set in the Wild West, the game is a simple tap-to-shoot game, very similar to shooting games like Time Crisis for those who remember. Naturally, though, you’ll need to be wary of needing to reload your six-shooter at opportune times otherwise the outlaws will kill you quicker than you can say “this town ain’t big enough for the both of us”.
At the time I played the game, it was shaping up very nicely with most of the core gameplay down pat and some social features which made good use of the online leaderboard to see who had the best shooting hand in Sydney. However to get the game over the line, Game Synesthesia has turned to Kickstarter which is thankfully now accepting Australian projects. Game Synesthesia has set its sights on a $10,000 AUD target to help fund the essentials of the project like licences, artwork and rewards for backers. Check out their pitch video to see if you’re willing to contribute to their cause:
