Last we heard Gameloft was scheduled to launch Zombiewood this Halloween. To us, that would mean October 31st, not the 24th. Not that we are complaining about it coming earlier than anticipated.
The game is centered around a zombie apocalypse that hits in L.A. You play the game as a Hollywood stunt man gone action hero.  Using 20 various weapons to help burn, boil and zap the zombie infestation off the streets. It offers up 11 different movies and 10 unique game modes to keep the killing fun and fresh. There are various outfits you can pick up to mix and match your look and there is a leaderboard to follow to show your friends that when it happens in real life, they should stick with you.
Zombiewood is out in the Play Store now for FREE. This often times means there will be some sort of in-app purchasing system so that Gameloft can make some money of the work put into it. I have personally just installed the game, but haven’t had a chance to play it yet. I did open it up to see if there was going to be any additional assets to download or anything. Good news, there isn’t. However, the file size from the Play Store is 311MB, so you still might want to wait for a Wi-Fi connection before you pick it up and give it a go. Take a look at a few screenshots and the video trailer to make sure you are even interested.
We think it looks pretty sweet. We are just hoping that the in-app purchases don’t hinder progress.
