Today certainly has had its surprises The big one being, of course, Andy Rubin stepping down as head of Android. No one certainly saw it coming. Now we come to find out that Google has decided to do some spring cleaning on their apps. Google Reader…bye bye.
Many apps will soon cease to exist in the world of Google. The big one being Google Reader. Yeah…our beloved Reader. The Reader certainly has played  a crucial part in the website world, since it made it very easy to access content from your favorite websites. Since its debut in 2005, it grew as a pivotal force for websites like ours. Sadly, the following it once had has declined enough to where Google wants to get rid of it. So July 1st of this year, Google Reader will cease to exist. That really sucks, because I use it all the time. I can see though, why it has declined. In a world of social media it really did not stand a chance. Twitter has really become the new Google Reader. There actually is a page that has started with a petition for Google to reconsider this decision. Link to it is down below. Let us know what you guys think.
